Meg is the Diabetes Prevention Program Coordinator with the Community and Clinical Connections for Prevention and Health (CCCPH) Branch at the North Carolina Division of Public Health. She has over 10 years of experience working passionately in diabetes and obesity prevention, with a focus on lifestyle change and evidence-based programs. She began her work with the CCCPH Branch in 2020 as a Diabetes Program Specialist and Evaluator for various chronic disease programs.
Prior to joining the Division of Public Health, Meg worked in the nonprofit sector with organizations such as Smart Starts and YMCAs, where she implemented family-centered health promotion and wellness initiatives. Alongside this work, she has been a certified personal trainer since 2014, managing fitness programs, teaching classes, and training clients. This experience enhances her ability to translate physical activity and behavior change strategies into practical, sustainable lifestyle interventions.
Meg holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Public Health from East Carolina University.
