Lakecia Owens serves as the Equity Coordinator for the Healthy Communities Program of the Community and Clinical Connections for Prevention and Health Branch, where she provides technical assistance support for 84 Healthy Communities-funded local health departments. She is an MBA holder with nearly 15 years of public health leadership and service in non-profit, county, and state government organizations. She has experience leading collaborative teams and community-based health promotion programs specific to communicable disease/sexually transmitted infection prevention, community nutrition, youth and adolescent physical activity and wellness, men’s health, and preventive dental health.
