Sanga Krupakar serves as the Hypertension Coordinator for the Health Systems Unit with the Community and Clinical Connections for Prevention and Health Branch. Her primary role is to work with health care systems on hypertension-related initiatives. Prior to her work with the Division of Public Health, Sanga worked with the Center for Healthy North Carolina on Healthy NC 2020 related activities. She was actively involved in the Healthy NC Improvement App (IMAPP), a web-based resource which brings together the best knowledge on various evidence-based community health strategies. She graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree from Deccan College of Medical Sciences, India where she also practiced medicine prior to moving to the United States. She received her Master of Science degree in Public Health with a concentration in Community Health from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
