Madison Johnson serves as a Specialist for Eat Smart, Move More, Weigh Less and Eat Smart, Move More, Prevent Diabetes, a collaborative effort of NC State University and the NC Division of Public Health. Madison has worked with the Eat Smart, Move More, Weigh Less and Eat Smart, Move More, Prevent Diabetes team since 2012. Prior to that, she served as a Research Assistant in the Physical Activity and Nutrition (PAN) Branch. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion, and a minor in Nutrition from Appalachian State University, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Communication with an Emphasis in Health at East Carolina University. Madison loves baking, dancing, hiking, snowboarding, reading and running. Her absolute favorite thing to do is travel; her most unique experience was shark cage diving in South Africa!
